Here is a message from our learning volunteer, Carolyn, introducing her video guide to creating your own Army Flying mobile balloon:
“As you know the Museum is closed at the moment, but we are still trying to do our fantastic school holiday craft activities that we know so many of you enjoy. Thanks to technology we can bring you some to do within your own homes. Here is a short video showing you how to make a balloon mobile, first made by Kirsty Allsopp on her Channel 4 programme ‘Keep Crafting and Carry On’. You will see from the Army Flying Balloon factsheet, that the balloon played a significant part in the development of flying machines.
Please enjoy making your mobile balloons and have fun everyone. Missing you all, Carolyn”
