In April 1945, Winston Churchill created a task force to go to Nazi Germany and bring back the best of their technology and scientists.
The pilot chosen to lead the flying side was Winkle Brown and what he found profoundly shocked the British aeronautical establishment. Paul Beaver, Winkle’s biographer, tracks some of the highlights for us.
