16 January 7:00 pm
– 9:00 pm
Join us at Stockbridge Town Hall where author, broadcaster and aviator Paul Beaver talks Winkle Brown revelations.
Captain Eric Brown, better known as Winkle, was our greatest aviator. His passion for flying was rivalled only by his passion for Germany. To mark his 100th birthday, his biographer Paul Beaver will be giving a series Centenary Lectures, starting with some of the more interesting facts he has discovered. Winkle flew 487 types and made 2407 carrier deck landings, which are two world records that are unlikely to be broken.
During the Museum's closure we will have an outreach series of lectures taking place at Stockbridge Town Hall one Wednesday of each month from November 2018 to March 2019.
Space at the Town Hall is more limited than the Museum so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
